Here’s what our artists have to share this month.

HADI AGHAEE

“This is the completed drawing from last month’s In the Studio. A 18”X14 pastel pencil drawing for a newlywed family friend. As all my portrait drawings are, they are usually a surprise, therefore they are extracted from a group family photo and details become less ideal for creating art. I try to do the best I can.”

PREETHI ELANGO

“I am currently working on capturing the facade of an interesting home I came across in San Francisco. The effects of sunlight and shadows on the colors of the scenery always captivate me. The juxtaposition of a plain, modern home adds to the composition."

Sarah J.L. Nguyen

“This cardboard and felt project consumed my studio (and dining room) for the month of October. I won’t be entering it into a juried show, but I consider it part of my broader creative portfolio nevertheless."

WENDELL FIOCK

“It took hours to search magazines for the right colors and images, but the couple who liked and bought it made it worth it.”
