“Earlier I posted a photo of papers I made for this collage. If you recall I was worried about not having a dark enough paper to make the collage successful. To solve this problem I placed some of my lightest papers in the sun to bleach them. This effectively widened the gap between my darkest dark and lightest light, which is what I needed.”
“I cleaned and organized all my pastels in a new 10-drawer, rolling storage unit. Before they were scattered in different boxes in drawers in my studio. Now I can EASILY choose the green I want in the value I would like-- AND I don’t have to keep getting them out and putting them away. The best art advice I ever received was from Thong Lee. He said, "Keep your art supplies out all the time. If you have to dig for them, you won’t use them. If they are already out, you can walk right up and get started."

“Here is the bottom part of my painting in progress. As you can see, progress is slow because I don’t get the chance to spent as much time on painting as I would like to. Working on the center section now!”

“Blending fast drying acrylic has always been a challenge for me. This work was created without a single brush stroke. Cut pieces of matboard, acrylic paint loaded on one side then “pressed” onto the canvas allowing natural blending of the colors.”
